| Clear dark ruby. Intense nose, lots of blackcurrant and cassis, not much extra complexity but a touch of woody pencil shavings coming through from the background. Palate a little disjointed, fruit is there and also some developing cedar and woody notes but quite forceful and hot rather than pretty and elegant at this stage. There is some acidity and tannic grip but overall it's more fruity than structured so will be interesting to see how this develops - may be one to drink earlier rather than later. |
