| Clear medium brick red, obviously used to be ruby but now fading towards brown. Medium(+) nose, very complex, dark cherries, crushed blackberries (fingers stained with juice), chocolate, cloves, menthol, leather, vanilla. Only the faintest hint of Musar funkiness. Palate more savoury than fruity and still quite powerful. Dark berry fruit and some plums too. Menthol comes through as well. A bit herbal? Bracing acidity, quite refreshing. Tannins definitely making themselves known but soft and elegant. Lovely balance. Very long finish. Really good. |
