Tasting notes
Clear dark ruby heading towards brown. On first opening smelt of chip shop chips with lots of salt and vinegar. After a few hours that had mostly blown off and left some sour cherry fruit and leathery savoury notes - still a hint of the salt and vinegar though. Palate not a lot of fruit, some meaty savouriness and a hit of oxidisation as if from an old white Burgundy. Aftertaste of almonds and dark fruits. Some quite mild but dusty tannins. Medium acid. Medium finish, dark fruit and savoury. Faulty? But in an interesting Musar sort of way.
