Tasting notes
| Clear medium gold. Restrained nose, dried raisins, toffee apple, caramel, calvados. Medium body and a little creaminess, brown apples, burnt sugar, ever so slightly oxidised. Reticent, needed decanting to open up. Not too much acid but instead has an almost tannic mouth-drying effect. Lengthy finish of brown apples but a bit flat overall - will be interesting to see if this is just this bottle or whether it's the wine in general. |
