Tasting notes
| Clear pale garnet. Intense aromatic nose, red berries, plums, spice, incense, sandalwood, truffles, violets. Palate a little disappointing in comparison - red fruits are there but less of the more interesting spiciness, just a bit of an okay hint. Alcohol very obvious and somewhat overwhelming. Nice tannic grip but all a bit out of balance which is a shame given the promise of the nose. Finishes well with lingering strawberries and roses. |
